Our exciting e-bike tour from Etna Sud to Etna Nord is perfect for adventure and nature lovers. The meeting point will be in Etna Nord, where you will be welcomed by the Eco Etna Adventure team. From here, a minibus will transfer you together with the e-bikes to Rifugio Sapienza, the starting point of the tour, located on the southern slope of the Etna volcano.
The tour starts from Rifugio Sapienza, at 1900 meters above sea level. After a brief introduction and preparation, we will begin to cycle along the slopes of Etna, crossing spectacular landscapes and ancient lava flows. We will cycle through the pista Altomontana, a path that offers breathtaking views and passes through centuries-old pine forests and lunar landscapes.
During the route, we will have the opportunity to explore extinct craters and fascinating lava flow caves. The guide will tell you fascinating stories and anecdotes about the volcano, making this experience not only adventurous, but also educational. One of the stops will be a visit to the craters of the 1981 eruption, where you can admire the force of nature and its hornitos up close.
We will continue our adventure towards the north side, passing through the suggestive Rifugio Monte Santa Maria.
After a short stop to refresh ourselves and enjoy the view, we will continue pedaling on lava flows that are spectacular due to their shape. From here we will begin our descent through the verdant Pineta Ragabo, immersed in an uncontaminated natural environment.
